James Bond’s iconic Aston Martin rolls onto the Rocket League pitch

Load up the machine guns

Think of the possibilities, and how it’s the kind of killing machine that might very well ensure Rocket League supremacy. Machine guns that pop out of nowhere. Smoke screens and oil slicks. A revolving license plate. Thoughts go to this because Rocket League and Aston Martin have teamed up.

A deal between Psyonix and Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer (MGM) has led to James Bond’s most iconic car ever being available in the Rocket League shop. Those who’ve always dreamed of having a license to kill on the digital pitch can now purchase 007’s 1963 Aston Martin DB5.

Bond fans of course know the car from Goldfinger, one of the most beloved films in the history of the long-running franchise. In tribute to the original, the Rocket League version comes with the classic Silver Birch paint job, as well as DB5 wheels, and a Reel Life decal.

Unfortunately, the machine guns aren’t part of the package, mostly because the last thing anyone needs is someone shooting the living crap out of the Rocket League soccer ball.

The automobile is currently only a limited-time item, and can be picked up for 1,100 credit. Honestly, 1,007 credits would have been a cooler number, but who are we to complain. The good news is Rocket League and Aston Martin have teamed up.
