New Twitch esports directory makes one-stop planning a snap

A new Twitch initiative has just made it easier for you to plan out your next 24 hours of nonstop esports viewing.

Billing itself as a one-stop destination for “live tournaments, match highlights, and your favorite pro players”, the Twitch Esports Directory will turn a spotlight on everything from the Rocket League Championship Series and Valorant to the League of Legends World Championship and NBA 2K20.

The objective is to streamline the process of finding live matches, competitive league action, high-profile streamers, and related information on the mammoth platform. As on YouTube, Twitch will make recommendations to users based on what they are watching and searching for.

In a Twitch blog post announcing the directory, which will be rolled out gradually, the streaming service announced the following: “Tune in to watch live events, catch up on past matches, discover new esports channels, and learn from the best pro players. The experience is tailored to make it easier for you to find the games and events you’re most interested in and help discover content you might like but didn’t even know about. We’re looking at you, Farming Simulator League.”

Twitch has been one of the big winners during the COVID-19 pandemic, with over three billion hours of content streamed during the first three months of 2020.

To start planning out what you’ll be watching today, tomorrow, the next days, and then the days, weeks, and months after that, go to the Twitch Esports Directory here.
