Riot Games-Backed Red Bull Power Spike Tournament Makes Today a Truly Lucky Day for League of Legends Fans

Finding yourself with plenty of time your hands these days, with nothing to do but play hours of League of Legends in a locked-down home littered with empty Red Bull cans?

If so, hang on to your headset and drain another Red Bull Summer Edition: Coconut Berry, because this is your lucky day.

Riot Games (the company that publishes League of Legends) has teamed up with Red Bull (the company that never sleeps) for a new gaming series.

Red Bull Power Spike is a one-on-one League of Legends daily tournament designed for our home-bound COVID-19 times. The series, on the Battlefy platform, is open to LOL players that are part of Official League of Legends Discord channel.

In the press release announcing the new venture, Red Bull and Riot Games said that, in addition to receiving “unique prizes”, winners will get hard-earned bragging rights and obtain the exclusive Discord role and title “Red Bull Power Spike Winner.”

In a dream-world scenario, those unique prizes would include a pair of limited edition Red Bull wings, a Red Bull sleeping onesie with matching slippers and sleep mask, and one of those Austin Minis with a giant Red Bull can bolted to the roof.

Dare to dream. Your next lucky day comes on April 27, when Red Bull Power Spike kicks off.
