Rocket League is gearing up to celebrate a milestone

There will be presents, which have yet to be revealed.

Rocket League is getting ready to celebrate its fifth birthday, and that means fans can expect gifts to mark the occasion.

In a post on the website of the game that marries soccer fans and high-end-automobile enthusiasts, developer Psyonix announced that the anniversary celebrations will include a special two-week event. Featured in that event will be Limited Time Modes and special Psyonix and Rocket League items in the league’s online store.

What those items will be is limited only by your imagination. As will what’s been called a big update scheduled for later this summer.

As Psyonix states: “We’re not quite ready to reveal everything coming to the game just yet, be on the lookout over the next few months.”

In the meantime, watch for a minor game update going live tomorrow at 10 PDT to help build interest in the anniversary event, plus a new Item Series next week.
