Ubisoft announces first-person shooter known for now as Prisma Dimensions

Get ready to explore new, neon-flooded frontiers.

Montreal-based game developer Ubisoft has announced a new first-person shooter game aimed at those who pour Red Bull on their cornflakes, in their coffee, and on their ice cream.

Unveiled under the code name Prisma Dimensions, the multiplayer battle royale game will eventually be better known as Hyper Scape. Watch for a July 2 closed-beta release from Ubisoft, the company that’s brought you Assassin’s Creed and Rainbow Six Siege.

The Prisma Dimensions website describes the fast-paced FPS as more pulse-quickening than a Crown Rush event, with players dropped onto “the neon-drenched streets of the world’s premiere virtual city, Neo Arcadia”.

Should you prefer something less Blade Runner and more eggheaded as a description of Prisma Dimensions, consider this mission statement:

“Here at Prisma, we build meaningful connections that span the globe and foster development. We build new frontiers that nurture, educate and connect the population. We build technologies that push the limits of this world and offer an escape route to new dimensions. And we do this for you.
Our mission is to provide you with unique opportunities to grow and prosper in today’s hyper connected world. A world with limitless opportunities. A world waiting for you to discover it. Let us take you there.”

Time to start stockpiling the Red Bull.
